Get to Know Me
I met my wife more than 40 years ago at the Place de la Concorde in Paris. We’ve raised three children who are now successful and happy adults. When I was 18, I needed a portion of my left lung surgically removed. I promised myself that if I was able to return to good health, I would work hard and never complain. Practicing medicine has allowed me to fulfill that dream over the last 40 years.
Why I Treat Children
I’m proud to participate in the care of children who have severe airway obstruction – either from infection or trauma – and restoring a normal sufficient airway.
How I Try to Make A Difference
In addition to providing care for children, I think it’s important to help train the next generation in my field. I’ve participated in medical education in pediatric otolaryngology, helping to train more than 150 practicing ENT surgeons over the years. I’ve also helped design and implement safety standards for toys and foods that could be potential hazards to young children.
